Frenzy talked us through his creative process, how his identity influences his sound and the essential work he does to support his local community. Frenzy offers free studio space and workshops to young, talented artists. He provides aspiring artists a safe space to explore, experiment and experience the music industry first hand. You can give ‘Caesar’ a listen and read our full interview below.     BB: Frenzy tell us a bit about your latest release Caesar...  Caesar is just a crazy record, really took my time with Eyes and wanted to capture something with a deeper meaning and heavy bass line to stamp the tone. Taking ownership of what we own almost like a copyright or a patent. As an ethnic minority this is me openly expressing my pride in who I am, where I am from, and what I do. NOBODY CAN TAKE THAT FROM ME.  BB: Who and what are the biggest influences on your sound so far? In terms of influence, I wouldn't point a finger at a particular person. Genres like Grime, Hip, Rnb have inspired me along with some alternative sounds as well. I really enjoy unfolding a genre and pushing a new direction. I think my blessing and my curse is the fact that I'm constantly trying new things and I'm completely versatile.  BB: Is your own identity something that's consciously reflected in your music? My identity is crucial! My music is based around home truths and hood tails. Conflicts of being in such toxic conditions, and also conflict in relationships fuel my creativity.  BB: What has music provided you with in your own life? It's provided me with a voice, everyone has an inner voice and a lot of the time that is where we keep most of our negative events, but music is like your inner voice on steroids. Half of the explicit ideas wouldn't take place in my day to day conversations. Music has also provided me with direction, there's a big gang culture where i'm from and being creative from such an early age allowed me to see more than the streets.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section bb_built="1" admin_label="section" custom_padding="0px|0px|0px|0px"][et_pb_row admin_label="row" make_fullwidth="on" custom_padding="15px|0px|0px|0px"][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" disabled_on="off|off|off" header_line_height="1.2em" text_font_size="45px" text_line_height="1em" custom_margin="50px|50px|50px|" custom_padding="0px|||" saved_tabs="all"]

Can you tell us abit more about what these entail and what came out of them My youth project is one of the best things i've done creatively. I became so obsessed with trying to be this superstar so badly that i forgot about the basics that inspired me to make music in the first place. Connecting with people and learning was what drove me in the first place and I feel like young creatives are fresh and hungry, so often there is so much that can be learned from them. If we are to keep art alive we have to focus on the generation after us who will do everything x10. Offering a simple infrastructure could create the next big star.BB: Why did you decide to set them up? Because my full purpose requires me to help people. I've spent too much time idolising and I feel like inspiring will increase my value far more than being self-centred, which I believe a lot of artist are because of the cut throat nature of the industry.BB: Why are these projects important to the younger age bracket? Because talent comes from the underground, a lot of artist start from zero and are looking for a creative network and infrastructure so they can learn and grow. Unfortunately they will receive a thousand no's and false promises and this can weigh heavy on the heart. I offer this transparent model because honesty is the policy.BB: What can we expect from you in 2019? Big riddims, collaborations with some of London's dopest creatives. Collaborations with some fan-favourite rappers who hold legendary status. Some BIG music videos and hopefully the cherry on top will be a vintage project.[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="Row" make_fullwidth="on" custom_width_px="2600px" custom_padding="0px|0px|0px|0px" parallax_method_1="off" parallax_method_2="off" custom_padding_last_edited="on|phone" custom_margin_last_edited="on|phone"][et_pb_column type="1_2"][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" custom_margin_last_edited="on|phone"]
